Top-Notch is an independent college admissions advisory firm. We provide consulting and support to students and families navigating the undergraduate, graduate, and professional school admissions process. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing any college, university, testing organization, or government agency.
You must be at least 18 years old to enter into an engagement with us. Students under 18 may use our Services only through a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on their behalf.
Our Services include strategic advising, profile development, college list creation, essay support, application management, test prep coordination, and related guidance. Specific deliverables, timelines, and pricing for each engagement are governed by the package or service agreement you enter with us.
Our Services are advisory in nature. We provide guidance, strategy, and support based on our experience and judgment. We do not guarantee admission to any specific college, university, or program, the award of any scholarship or financial aid, any specific test score, or any specific outcome. Admissions decisions are made solely by the institutions to which a student applies.

We reserve the right to pause or end an engagement if a client fails to engage in good faith, provides false information, or asks us to act in a manner that violates academic integrity standards.
We support, guide, brainstorm, and edit — but the student is and must remain the author of all application essays and submitted work. Misrepresentation of authorship or credentials in applications is a serious violation that can result in rescinded admissions offers. We will not draft, ghostwrite, or fabricate content on a student's behalf.
Fees for our Services are set out in the package you select or the service agreement you sign. Unless otherwise stated:
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of Top-Notch or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
Materials we create during an engagement (such as worksheets, frameworks, and templates) remain the property of Top-Notch and are provided to you for your personal use in connection with the engagement.
When you submit information, drafts, or other content through the Site or to your advisor, you grant us a limited license to use that content to provide the Services. You represent that the content you provide does not infringe any third-party rights.
We treat client information with discretion and care. Internal team members involved in delivering Services (advisors, creative writers, test prep professionals, and backend support) may access client information on a need-to-know basis. The Site may include links to third-party websites or use third-party tools (such as scheduling, payments, messaging, or analytics). Those services are governed by the third party's own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services.
By providing contact information, you consent to receive communications from us electronically (by email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other electronic means) related to your inquiry or engagement. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Top-Notch and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or Services at our discretion for any conduct that violates these Terms or that we determine to be harmful to other users, our team, or our business. You may stop using the Site at any time. Termination of a paid engagement is governed by your service agreement.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Site or Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
